Abbozzo Gallery primarily represents contemporary Canadian artists. Please visit our web site or the gallery before you submit your portfolio to see if your work is in keeping with our mandate of exhibiting contemporary art.
Portfolios should be mailed or dropped off at the gallery and must be accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope if you wish to have your materials returned.
Please note that we do not accept exhibition proposals of any kind.
We are unable to make appointments or to spontaneously view portfolios or art work during gallery hours.
Please be prepared to leave your submission with us for two months.
We thank all those who submit portfolios but only those whose work is of interest will be contacted.
Interested artists should submit the following information:
Curriculum Vitae: A CV should include the artist’s education, grants and awards, list of exhibitions and collections, current address and contact information and any other relevant information.
Photographs or CD ROM : We can accept good quality photographs or CD ROM format. A detailed list with numbers that correspond to those on the photographs or CD should accompany the submission. This list should also indicate Title, Medium, Size and Date of each work. Approximately 20 photos of current works should be submitted. We can view work on a web site if mentioned in the portfolio. We do not open unsolicited e-mail attachments.
SASE Artists must include a Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope with sufficient postage for the return of the submission. The gallery will not be responsible for submissions sent without a SASE.
