Toronto-born, London, UK based painter Jacob Freeman works are playful imaginations reappropriating motifs, figures, techniques and tropes of historical painting using contemporary popular American culture iconography, painting images and subjects he sees in magazines, on TV, in movies or in his readings over disparate backgrounds. Jacob Freeman paints mainly in oil and watercolour.
Freeman is a practicing studio artist in Toronto, Ontario. Freeman completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the University of Western Ontario in 2016.
