Lola Erhart's work explores the world that surrounds her, and the interaction between her models and the environment they are immersed in, that fluctuates between reality and non temporal, emotional scenarios. Exposing a permanent dialogue and conflict between figuration and abstraction. The rational construction of the drawing and the emotionality of the brushstroke. These aspects (reason / emotion), understood as fundamental parts of the human psyche, are the main focus of her reflections. The subject in her paintings are friends or women close to her, providing an intimate and transcendent sense to the work. Currently she is committed to a body of work that seeks to break with its own limitations and structures in search of an increasingly authentic voice.
