Peter Dusek is an international award winning Canadian photographer whose toned black and white photographs place a strong emphasis on balance and negative space. His work embodies the Japanese aesthetics of shibumi (quiet elegance), yūgen (subtly profound grace, not obvious), seijaku (feeling of serenity) and ma (empty space). His signature minimalist design goal is “as little as possible, as much as necessary”.  The end result is a series of contemplative photographs distilling the vastness of the Canadian landscape to an intimate approachable image, each of which depicts a purity that is ever-present yet often overlooked.

Peter’s works, whether an intimate 8 inches wide or a powerful 108 inches wide, are held in the collections of large and small corporations, in their lobbies, boardrooms and showrooms, as well as gracing the walls of private collectors’ homes throughout North America.
