If you could talk to a microcosm, what would you ask it? “Living Algae Cyborg” is an interactive installation that enables audiences to communicate with algae microorganisms, while creating a bridge for dialogue and cultural exchange between species.

We are so excited to celebrate 30 years of community, 30 years of art for the love of art and 30 years of Abbozzo Gallery with our retrospective exhibition; an exhibition celebrating not just this milestone but the artists that have made this day possible.

Vladimir Kanic’s living sculptures are officially on display. These incredible breathing sculptures - an unprecedented combination of science, technology and new media art - utilize the biological processes of living algae to capture carbon dioxide, create oxygen, and purify the air from toxins. Made from organic biopolymers, these sculptures housing the living algae bring attention to global environmental problems while providing hope and solutions for climate change.
