This was a collaboration with the costume designer Christabel, who also modeled for me. I love the awkwardness and the motion of the pose. For me this is about our surroundings where we are supposed to feel like home, yet they can feel very uncomfortable, if we are uncomfortable with our current self and desire to change. It’s the feeling of this awkwardness, not being able to pinpoint the exact reason for it.
