Join us for a thoughtful conversation between artist Vladimir Kanic and Dr. Marissa Largo, researcher, artist, curator, and educator. Together, they will explore new ecological futures, weaving together eco-art, diasporic memory, and speculative worldbuilding to imagine possibilities for collective survival and renewal in Kanic's ongoing exhibition, Garden of Hope.

Dr. Largo, Assistant Professor of Creative Technologies at York University and a leading scholar in Asian diasporic cultural production, brings a unique perspective to this dialogue. Her work focuses on race, gender, and decolonial aesthetics, with a practice deeply rooted in community and radical curatorial strategies.

This one-on-one conversation promises to offer new insights into Kanic’s practice and the radical possibilities of art as care, resilience, and ecological activism.

This event is part of Abbozzo Gallery's Learning Series, where we promote, support, and uplift our artists through conversations, events, and meaningful community engagement.

Attendance is free, but space is limited.
