Bossa in House: Fabiana Salomão | Main Gallery Exhibition
-
Bossa nova, meaning “new wave,” emerged as a mesmerizing fusion of samba and jazz from a prestigious guitar school nestled in Rio de Janeiro’s vibrant Copacabana neighborhood in 1956. This artistic movement transcended boundaries, influencing the realms of art, music, design, and architecture, captivating professionals and artists worldwide. The essence of Bossa exudes a magnetic charm, a natural flair, and an innate ability to captivate. Its slang evokes a seductive ambiance, a dreamy allure, and a romantic atmosphere that transcends boundaries. Bossa transports you to a realm of lightheartedness, painting a vivid picture of azure skies, sandy shores, and a sophisticated pleasure-filled lifestyle brimming with swing and joy. Today, Bossa is still alive in the art scene and remains one of the deepest influences in my art production that I am bringing to the art show.
